The recipe for English Toffee has been our family for generations.  My great-grandmother was *very* specific about ingredients: "always use superior butter (never oleo), pure cane sugar, and real vanilla."  The result is a rich, buttery, crunchy toffee, enrobed in premium Venezuelan dark chocolate and topped with fresh, roasted, local almonds .
